Respect
Why don't we get any respect?
This is the question volunteer firefighters sometimes ask themselves.
Why can't they understand?
Volunteer Firefighters work 24/7 non-stop, and still get no respect.
We go when called no matter what the situation may be.
We never hesitate. We never receive a pay check, we do it for free.
After the tragedy of Sept. 11 people started to give respect, but not much.
It's hard to believe that such a tragedy had to happen in order for people to
see.
So the next time you see the lights flashing with sirens a roar, pull over, stop
and think where might this tragedy be. Just pray as we go by, cause in times
like this we need all the prayer we can get.
